Aaron Lewis Toledo Concert reviews
Def Leppard 10 stars, Journey needs to retire
Def Leppard blew us away! They were as great as they were during the Hysteria Tour in the late 80's. We will DEFINITELY go see them again. We could've watched them all night long. So worth the money. My wife had been waiting for this tour since 6th grade. In fact, my wife and I spent a lot of money for our tickets and were really excited about seeing this line up. We don't get out much so this was a treat.
Aaron Lewis, now that was another story entirely! WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT! The sound sucked. The band also was so loud that they drowned him out. Arnel swallowed the mic to the point that if you didn't already know the words, you wouldn't have been able to understand a word he was singing. Apparently, this has been an ongoing problem on the tour that they refuse to fix. This was my wife's first time seeing them and she was really looking forward to his concert. She and I were crushed. All of his solos were WAY too long and drawn out. Someone needs to inform Neil Schoen that it was Journeys show, not his. We were so upset that we left after the 4th song!
Def Leppard should definitely be the headliner during that tour. The only way we'd go see Journey again is if the original line up got the band back together. As good as Arnel is, there is simply no substitute for the original, Steve Perry. We're patiently waiting for Steve Perry to go on tour so we can see him. I'd ask for part of my money back if I knew I could get it because we feel robbed.
